Loco Hombre

Yesterday we were running errands and I couldn’t help but notice the tiny little taco shop tucked away on Scranton Carbondale Highway. Loco Hombre is a Mexican eatery with a “very classic American touch”. The whole family and I swung in to see what it was all about. I ordered one of my standards, pork taco, one of my little taquitos ordered the chicken tacos, and my wife ordered a taco salad. All of the ingredients were super fresh, and the place was really clean with a friendly staff. It kind of has a fast food feel as far as being able to load up your taco with any and all of the toppings they offer starting with rice and beans and going down the line to pico and salsa. If I’m honest, the taco wasn’t my favorite. The pork was fatty and the whole thing lacked taste. It was slightly disappointing because everything truly looks so good, and is so fresh, just needed a little more flavor for this taco lover. My kiddo said she enjoyed her chicken tacos, and I was glad to see a nice selection of Jarritos in the back cooler, so overall not a bad spot to have stumbled on. I’ll definitely be back to give some of the other menu items a try! Don’t forget to order some fresh chips and guac when you are there, they will not dissapoint!
