Hooked on State Street

Hooked on State Street is not only a food truck, but also a brick and mortar seafood restaurant in Clarks Summit. No matter what location you choose you are going to find something to impress. They regularly have tacos on the menu in a section called “sandbar tacos” and on the truck you’ll usually find one of those selections available. The price is high, but you’re not talking about ingredients you can find in your back yard. This is fresh seafood served in both favorite and unique ways. All the ingredients from this place are some of the best I’ve experienced. Today the truck was parked at Creekside Gardens in Tunkhannock. We had to wait a super long hour for our food, and the service was weak, but I’m still giving them 5 stars because I know this isn’t my usual experience there and the food was as good as ever. The family got a range of items from a lobster roll, to a fish sandwich, to an order of chicken fingers and fries, but lets talk about the grouper taco! It was your basic flour tortilla, filled beyond the brim with not so basic grouper. This grouper was perfectly boiled and then crisped so it fell apart only after you bit in. The first bite brought me right back to fishing with my dad in key west. We used to grill up the grouper we caught into “grouper fingers”. But back to the tacos! This catch was topped with the perfect Mexican accents, cayo sauce, cilantro, lettuce, tomato, red onion, cojita cheese, jalapenos and finished with a lime wedge. It was an incredible bite of flavor and freshness and can you believe you get 3 of these per order??? You’re definitely going to be Hooked.
